Olin ulkona koirien ja Panun kanssa, lapioimassa lunta talon vierestä (mukavampi tehdä valoisalla, minulla on vähän työrytmi muuttunut Panun sairasloman aikana), kun muistin että postit on vielä hakematta. Ensin piti kaivaa tie portista ulos, sekin on astetta kinkkisempää nykyään. Mutta olikin sen arvoista, Pauliina Lounatuulia-blogista oli lähettänyt minulle ihanan lahjan! Se on Ikean kehys, jollaisia ihailin joku aika sitten hänen blogissaan. Meille lähin Ikea on parin tunnin ajon päässä Haaparannassa, joten Pauliina oli ajatellut lähettää minulle ylimääräisen kehyksen.

Ja tiedättekö, mitä tämä tarkoittaa? Kotimme ei ole enää Ikea-vapaata vyöhykettä. Se on (ainakin tietääkseni) ensimmäinen Ikeasta hankittu juttu täällä.
I was out with Panu and the dogs, shoveling the snow further away from the house (so it won't flood our basement when it melts) and dug my way to the mailbox. A loveliest surprise was waiting for me in the mailbox, a little gift from Pauliina of the blog Lounatuulia. It's an Ikea photo frame I admired in her blog. The nearest Ikea is two hours drive from us in Sweden, so Pauliina sent me an extra frame she had. Thanks so much, Pauliina!!
And do you know what this means?? Our house is no longer Ikea-free zone. This is the first Ikea piece in our home (as far as I know of).

Teidän talo on varmaan ollut Suomen ainoa. Siis ei edes servettejä? Niitä puisia lehtikoteloita, jotka voi maalata?

Lontoossa asuessa kävin pari kertaa Ikeassa, mutta en ostanut mitään. Silloin asuinkin sellaisessa luukussa, että kävin siellä vain nukkumassa. Villi nuoruus... ;)

Huh, meillä taas ei varmaan mitään muuta ookkaan kuin Ikeaa ja Ikeaa ja Ikeaa.. No sohva ei oo :) Hyvännäkönen kehys kuitenkin, ei varmastikaan huonoin tapa menettää "Ikea-neitsyys" :)

the FIRST and ONLY??!? you don't even have accessories? i understand not having furniture (i'm proud to say that we only have 3 pieces in our home) but not even a photo frame, a candle or a vase?! and that from someone living in sweden? hahaaa. i think here in germany we just think that everyone in sweden is completely covered in ikea.
actually i'm just envious :-) i wish i had the time to find more things on flea markets or vintage shops.

Georgianna, yes, Panu is getting better every day, I'm so happy and releaved. And I don't mind the snow, as long as we don't get any more of it! :) I'm sure we'll still have snow in may, this winter it has been the most snow for decades.

lou, yup, yup. No accessories, nothing :D But I don't live in Sweden, I live in Finland, two hours away from the Swedish border. Which is also where the closest Ikea is. And we are so lazy we can't be bothered to drive all the way so we go to flea markets instead ;)
ah sorry. of course, finland! i was so into the swedish ikea thought that i missed that :-)
